The draw is out for next Tuesday’s $600,000 New Zealand Trotting Cup at Addington Raceway and current champion, Self Assured, has drawn horribly at 15.
Before the draw was done today (Wednesday), the Mark Purdon and Hayden Cullen trained 5-year-old was the $2.50 favourite. That could now change when odds are re-released.
Second favourite South Coast Arden, who will start off the unruly, will stand alongside Self Assured.
The iconic 3,200m standing start event dates back to 1904 when Monte Carlo won it.
