New South Wales visitor, Our Uncle Sam, might have drawn three on the second row (10) in Saturday night’s Listed $25,770 Lucky Creed Open Pace at Albion Park, but the TAB has still opened him up the $2.40 favourite.
The Chris Frisby trained and Anthony Frisby driven 6-year-old, who has won 20 of his 83 starts ($611,570), will have his third race back this campaign in the 12-strong 2,680m pace at 6.14pm.
Our Uncle Sam resumed from a four-month spell with nice second at Bathurst on July 1 and then caught the eye from gate nine when he was a 4.4m fourth behind Cruz in the Listed Mr Feelgood Open Pace last week. Cruz is not in Saturday’s field.
The Sportswriter – Rooftop Fairy (Village Jasper) brown gelding, spearheads favouritism from Queensland’s two=time Horse=of-the-Year, Colt Thirty One ($3.70 ) and the speedy Speech Is Silver ($5.50). The only other pacer to open up with a single-figure win dividend is Major Cam ($9).
