The powerful NSW-based combo of Craig Cross and Leonard Cain have nailed their second Albion Park hat-trick in as many weeks following the fifth event. Five races down and win three came via the $1.20 smoking hot favourite, Culture King (2).
Cain dictated all the pace with the 4-year-old Art Major entire, and at the finish line they had 3.5m to spare over Cherry’s Best. His winning time for the 1,660m mobile was 1:57.2 which equated to a 1:53.6 mile rate.
Culture King has now won 16 of his 31 starts (seven this season) and just over $100,000 in stakes for his owners – The Ready To Run Syndicate. He was bred by Neil Costello.
