The Jack Butler trained and Brendan Barnes driven Jeradas Delight (6) has impressed first-up in Queensland by sitting parked and toughing it out to win R8 at Albion Park.
The Bettor’s Delight mare came into the 1,660m mobile with a second at Parkes on June 21. This time she was simply too tough for her eight opponents, hanging on to win by 1.2m. The 5-year-old was the $4 second favourite.
Jeradas Delight has now won 10 of her 48 starts and placed in 16 others for $80,000 in stakes. Three of those wins have come this season for her owner, Ray Cahill.
Cahill also bred the bay with J. D. Eichhorn.
